If you meet Veronica at her favorite hometown coffee shop, you might mistake her for another stereotypical soccer mom with a caffeine addiction. Once you sit down with her, you’ll quickly realize that she is as eclectic as the books she loves to narrate. Far from traditional, her audiobook journey began in a shipyard and wound through the hallowed halls of higher education, finally arriving in her home studio in Florida while fueling her creative energies and honing her narration skills along the way. With the generous assistance of her romance-minded alter ego, Veronica has narrated over 150 books for authors and publishers, including Penguin Random House, Deyan Audio, Podium Entertainment, Curated Audio, One Night Stand Studios, High Gravity Audiobooks, Pink Flamingo Productions, and Northern Lake Audio.

A recovering academic with fifteen years’ experience in instructional technology, academic recovery, and learning strategies, Veronica brings a keen ability for research and analysis to both fiction and nonfiction endeavors. Her unique understanding of engineering, shipbuilding, and civilian support of the U.S. Navy comes from her early years as a naval architect and has proven invaluable in her narration of military science fiction. Her varied university experience as college algebra instructor, chemistry tutor, and academic recovery advisor allows her to easily navigate the often challenging subject areas of mathematics, science, psychology, and education.

Coming into audiobook narration from academia meant that Veronica has never been afraid to seek out coaching and learning opportunities. Studying with Sean Pratt, participating in Deyan Masterclasses, and seeking out coaching with Carol Monda, Shannon Parks, and Amanda Quaid jumpstarted a desire to expand her knowledge of both the craft and business of narration. She delights in learning new accents, especially from native speakers, and her role as director of PANA’s continuing education initiative PANAcademy allows her to learn from industry experts and peers on a near-daily basis.

While she is proud that more than a quarter of her catalog is filled with science fiction and space opera titles, Veronica loves a cozy paranormal adventure with middle-aged heroines and found family with the occasional talking cat or dragon. Her romance repertoire runs the gamut from mildly sweet to wildly spicy, with an affinity for both sports romance and sapphic happily-ever-afters. She would love to do more of both in the coming year, especially hockey romance.

Veronica maintains a conversational-level of French by eavesdropping on her Quebecois in-laws and watching hockey matches en francais.  Never content to simply do one thing, she is also an assistant bowling coach, podcast host, published science fiction author, and a better-than-average crochet enthusiast.
